How Long Does Perfume Last?
Perfume lasting can vary from one fragrance to another and from one wearing condition to another. Factors such as fragrance composition, number of sprays, skin, fabric, temperature and humidity can all affect how long a perfume remains noticeable.

Spray count mainly changes how much fragrance is applied and can affect how noticeable the scent feels. It does not mean that using 6–8 sprays will automatically make every perfume last a fixed number of additional hours. Perfume longevity and projection depend on the individual fragrance, composition, application surface and environment.
There is no single lasting time that applies to every perfume. Different fragrances can perform differently even when the same number of sprays is used. Projection describes how noticeably a fragrance radiates around the wearer. Lasting / longevity describes how long the fragrance remains detectable. A perfume can become less projecting while still remaining detectable closer to the skin, fabric or testing strip. Lower projection therefore does not automatically mean the fragrance has completely disappeared.

- 2–3 Sprays: Office, meetings ya close indoor environments ke liye useful starting point ho sakta hai.
- 4–6 Sprays: General daily wear ke liye balanced starting range ho sakti hai.
- 6–8 Sprays: More noticeable application ke liye consider kiya ja sakta hai, especially open environments mein — lekin fragrance strength ko pehle consider karein.
- Strong Fragrances: Agar perfume already powerful hai to fewer sprays enough ho sakte hain.
- Skin & Clothes: Same fragrance skin aur different fabrics par differently perform kar sakti hai.
- Don't Over-Reapply: Nose blindness ki wajah se perfume kam feel ho sakta hai. Reapply karne se pehle sprayed area ko dobara check karein.

👕 Different Types of Clothes Test
Cotton, polyester ya different price/quality ke kapron par perfume test karein. Har kapray par 1–2 sprays karein aur spray ki exact jagah yaad rakhein. Different fabrics fragrance ko different tarah hold kar sakte hain, is liye results compare karein.
🧻 Tissue Paper Test
Saaf aur unscented tissue paper par 1–2 sprays karein. Tissue ko normal room environment mein rakhein aur different time intervals par close se smell karke fragrance ki presence check karein.
🧪 Perfume Testing Strip — Recommended
Sab se consistent comparison ke liye perfume testing strip / blotter recommended hai. Strip par 1–2 sprays karein, usay rub na karein aur normal room environment mein rakhein. Kuch hours baad same strip ko close se smell karke lasting check karein.
⏱ Check at Different Time Intervals
Test ko 1 hour, 4 hours, 8 hours, 12 hours aur us ke baad dobara check karein. Fragrance ka strong opening se soft dry-down mein jana bilkul normal hai.
